The Gulf Luxury Trade Fair in London


The first business and luxury brands trade fair combined, the Gulf Luxury Trade Fair which will take place at London’s InterContinental Hotel in Park Lane on August 2nd and 3rd 2008 is already attracting a very wide variety of luxury brand and business exhibitors.

British finance and investment companies who want to develop business and trade links with the Middle East are joining forces at the trade fair with banks, law firms, property development companies etc.

World leading automotive brand Aston Martin will be located in the heart of the luxury brands section of the fair. Aston Martin will be surrounded by diamond and jewellery dealers, couture fashion designers, a unique designer from New York whose company Men’s Room makes 18 carat gold cigar ashtrays that sell at £6,000 each etc.

Also exhibiting at the trade fair will be the Arab British Chamber of Commerce who are supporting and marketing the event to their members.

Top Saudi Arabian fashion designer Amina Al-Jassim will be exhibiting her new couture collection in the trade fair’s ladies private shopping section.

Joining Amina will be Royal British couture designer Lindka Cierach, who in conjunction with Crosley Diamonds is creating the world’s most expensive abaya.The beautifully designed abaya created by Lindka will be adorned with diamonds supplied by trade fair exhibitor Crosley Diamonds of London. The abaya will be on sale at the fair with a sale price yet to be announced.

Leading London and Paris bespoke lingerie brand Carine Gilson will also be exhibiting their stunning collection in the ladies private shopping section of the fair.

The world of art is represented exclusively by Mathaf Gallery of London.

Other highlights of the two-day trade fair are Theo Randall. Theo Randall is one of Britain’s most famous chefs and from the event’s Arab tent Theo will be creating contemporary Arabic food and hand made chocolate and cake desserts.

The trade fair will also feature diverse brands such as leading private jet charter company Bookajet, German water sports company Seabob, and Spymaster of London, who are Europe’s largest supplier of surveillance and counter-surveillance products, including personal protection equipment, camel racing and falcon tracking units.

Other exhibitors include luxury chocolate brand Melt Chocolates, British law firms, banks, and luxury properties etc. More exciting brands are announced daily.

The Luxury Trade Fair is sponsored by InterContinental London Park Lane, Conduit Capital Liquid Funds, and will be open for visitors from 11.00 am until 11.00pm on both days. Admission is free and each visitor will receive the opportunity of a complementary nights stay at the new InterContinental Hotel in Park Lane. The Fair will be an annual event from this August at the InterContinental London Park Lane moving next year to 4 days.

The trade fair’s co-sponsor InterContinental London Park Lane reopened last year after a £76 million total refurbishment. Now the flagship of the InterContinental Group worldwide, InterContinental London Park Lane is one of London’s most fashionable and stylish five star hotels.
