Emirates launches nonstop service from Dubai to California Posted on: July 7th, 2008 by Katy Davies
Emirate Airline has recently completed a tour of road shows along the west coast of the US, promoting the world’s first ever non-stop service from Dubai to Los Angeles International and San Francisco International airports. The shows featured the carriers’ new First Class Private Suite, which is one of the many products highlighting the airline’s commitment to a high standard of customer comfort and service.
Led by Emirates Airline executives the road show events featured a multi-media presentation about the airline and Dubai, live entertainment, and the opportunity to personally experience the Boeing 777-200LR First Class Private Suite. This new suite for first-class passengers features a fully-reclining, extra-large seat that turns into a bed, a 23 inch wide LCD screen and over 1000 channels of entertainment. It offers an individual storage unit, coat closet, vanity desk and a personal mini bar.
“The San Francisco Bay Area is undoubtedly one of the most innovative high-tech business centres in the U.S., if not the world. Emirates’ direct route will create a new, highly convenient opportunity for Bay Area companies to do business in Dubai,” noted the senior vice president for commercial operations in the Americas, Nigel Page. “Our new Los Angeles service will connect travellers to the capital of the world’s entertainment industry. Coinciding with the establishment of a growing media industry in Dubai, the L.A. route represents excellent access for growing business connections. Both services will also expand access for leisure travellers interested in visiting California- one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.”
