20:20 Mobile, the largest handset distributor in the UK, has announced plans to target the mobile market in the Middle East.
With high levels of saturation in the European mobile market, many mobile distributors in the UK are looking to increase revenue by diversifying into IT-related fields and by targeting additional territories.
A spokesman for 20:20 said: “The Middle East is a key area of interest for us going forward as part of the Group’s push for international expansion across EMEA.
“We feel that our value proposition, developed in the mature UK and European market can add value in the emerging Middle East market and provide a strong offer.”
Trevor Price, former managing director of 20:20’s logistics division, has taken on the role of Middle East managing director and will head up the operation from 1 September.
