Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad unveiled a redesigned BIBD MasterCard Gold and Classic Card at a launching ceremony yesterday.The guest of honour who officiated the event was Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Awang Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the Minister of Development in his capacity as the Chairman of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad.
Also present were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, the Minister of Energy in his capacity as the Deputy Chairman of BIBD Berhad, members of the Board of Directors and members of the Shariah advisory body.
The Minister of Development said, “The launch of the BIBD MasterCard is designed to provide our valued customers with a consumer service proposition that addresses their overall financial needs in compliance with shariah.
“Our objective over the longer term is to develop a value proposition where the overall needs of the consumer, be it in the area of home financing or saving and investment for long-term financial needs such as retirement and children education, is provided through world-class products that are not just Shariah-compliant but rather Shariah-based.”
