Ask AGF Andoakaa, Niger governor toe speak up

FEW days ago, the highest Islamic body in Northern Nigeria,  Jama’tu Nasril Islam (JNI) pronounced a Fatwa on one of its own, Alhaji Bello Abubakar Masaba, the man who says he has 86 wives. His sin was that he deliberately broke the Islamic injunction which says that a man could choose to marry more than one wife but not more than four wives. Masaba who is not denying having 86 wives said he was aggrieved by the decision of the Islamic body and is presently kicking against the decision. He is of the view that there is nowhere in the Holy Quran where a number of women a man can marry is definitely stated.

On his behalf, the chambers had gone before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to enforce his fundamental human rights against those seeking his life.
