Austrian public broadcaster ORF just reported that the Governor of
Austrian province Carinthia, Joerg Haider, was killed in a car accident
at around 0415am, October 11, 2008.
Haider was the controversial leader of Austrian right wing party FPOe
until he found a new party, BZOe, in 2005, with which he won 10.7% on
the last Austrian national elections September 28, 2008.
