I mostly like motivational speakers. I was exposed to a lot of motivational speakers in the Marine Corps. Those speakers weren’t paid motivational speakers, but they were absolutely as good at motivational speaking as anyone I have seen over the past 25 years.
I have been to see a man named Zig Ziglar a few times and he is absolutely great. He keeps you on the edge of your seat, makes you laugh and even brings a tear to your eye. You leave a Zig Ziglar speech feeling energized.
Recently, I came across a different kind of motivational speaker, a guy named Dr. Tommy Weir. His background is not real clear. His own bio on his personal web site is does not disclose where he obtained his academic credentials, only that he has a Doctorate degree in Strategic Leadership. Where he got that degree is anyone’s guess. He claims to be a gifted speaker and author.

There is something else you should know about Tommy Weir: he is a shill for Shariah, as evidenced by his recent speech at a human resources conference in Saudi Arabia entitled, “A Sharia Inspired Approach to Leading.”

I find it rather ironic that Weir is espousing Shariah at a human resources conference in the Saudi kingdom. Maybe he should take a look at human RIGHTS under Shariah and the Saudi regime before he espouses the supposed virtues of a barbaric doctrine championed by men like Yusuf al-Qaradawi and Ayman al Zawahiri…
