The latest development in this saga comes with a press release from the organization’s American arm. In the release, Hizb ut-Tahrir re-emphasizes its desire for an Islamic caliphate to replace capitalism. They even cite Pat Buchanan to back up this concept!
Perhaps more significantly, the organization deflects criticism from other Muslim groups by pointing out that its goal, the establishment of a worldwide Islamic caliphate, is supposed to be the goal of all Muslims…
