As Algeria grows more Islamic, nightlife suffers (Stealth Jihad at work)

Algeria has been waging a counterinsurgency campaign against violent Jihadist terrorists linked to Al Qaeda.
Unfortunately, it seems that Al Qaeda’s major goal of imposing Shariah is making headway through other means.
As a result, many Algerians have seen their livelihoods basically erased:
“At least 40 bars, restaurants and nightclubs have been closed in the past year around Algiers alone, according to local media. The government insists that the closures are strictly a matter of safety and hygiene, but suspicion is widespread that Muslim conservative pressure is to blame.”
