A new search engine is about to be launched, ImHalal.com, and we have a feeling that ShariahFinanceWatch.org won’t be showing up on any searches there.
ImHalal will prevent Muslims from finding internet sites which contain content which is considered “haram,” or forbidden under Shariah law.
The founder of the search engine claims that the site will not amount to censorship, but also says “We are also in talks with Imams to determine what might be considered haram and therefore be blocked.”
How that doesn’t amount to censorship, I have no idea. This should be interesting…
