Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most prominent Sunni Shariah scholar in the world, has called for the boycott of American and Israeli goods.
Qaradawi has longstanding ties to Jihadist organizations and is banned from travel to the US and the UK. Nevertheless, he sits on the Shariah advisory boards of several major international financial institutions and founded the US-based web site, Islamonline.
Just over a year ago, Qaradawi called for Shariah-compliant economics to replace global capitalism.
