CRY US A RIVER!!!
A Rochester woman convicted of raising money for the terrorist group al-Shabaab is asking a federal judge to let her out of jail while she awaits sentencing.
An attorney for Amina Farah Ali said in a motion that it has been six months since the conviction and because of various delays, it will probably be six months before sentencing. Ali is in the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center, which is not set up for lengthy stays, he said.
“It has no programs or work opportunities. Mostly all there is to do is sit and read or watch television,” the attorney, Daniel Scott, wrote in the motion. “There is no healthy interaction with others. Ms. Ali is not fluent in English, so her interactions with others is further circumscribed.”

I find it very difficult to express how much that terror financing prisoner’s story saddens me.

It is indeed a sad story…I’m certain she would not be a flight risk…aren’t you?
