The ancient Sunni-Shia rift manifested itself overnight with tumultuous events in Saudi Arabia and Iran.
First, Saudi Arabia executed, by beheading, an admired Shia cleric. Then, Iranians razed the Saudi embassy in Tehran.
As a result, Saudi Arabia has cut commercial ties with Iran.
So, what we have are the two largest Shariah-compliant nations on earth not doing business with each other…
